Welcome to the Jungle Preserve. Basically, this site is a collection of links to downloads of Hardcore Jungle Drum & Bass mix sets from the years 1992 - 1995.

In general, we use the free file hosting service Mediafire, which allows you to download as many files as you would like with no wait. For files that exceed 100mbs, we will be using DivShare. If you come across any dead links in the collection, please let us know and we will re-upload them.

If you have any additional info (tracklists, flyers, tape covers, corrections etc) please post a comment and we will update the archive. So, especially if you find a set where a DJ or MC is not given credit properly, please post a comment.

Although titled “Jungle” preserve, if its in the archive, that means its relevant, and thats everything from Hardcore to Drum & Bass and you will end up finding things considered Techno or House or whatever else somewhere in here. The basic requirement for mixes included in the archive is being recorded in, or before, 1995 & essential for illustrating the growth & evolution of whats generally known as Jungle music.

Maximum boost & all credit due to the DJ’s, MC’s, Music Makers, Promoters, Radio Stations, Studios, tape rippers, file sharers, and original posters of these.

PLEASE NOTE! This is a labor of love, created out of respect for the foundation sounds and a desire to educate & inspire the many who have come since. Most (if not all) of these mixes are cassette tape rips that are long out of print (and in the case of the radio sets, most likely recorded by people at home). If there is any set that should NOT be listed here (you own it & dont want it distributed, its available for sale etc.) PLEASE LET ME KNOW, and it will be removed.
